Session one of Summer in Switzerland is in full swing, and it's already shaping up to be the Summer of a Lifetime. Students from dozens of countries have arrived at our Alpine campus ready for adventure, and they're well on their way to becoming a Global Family bound by shared experiences that will last long after this season ends.

Mornings at SIS are filled with purposeful learning. Some students are diving into immersive language acquisition, sharpening their English or French through daily instruction tailored to their level, paired with cultural expeditions that bring lessons to life outside the classroom. Others have chosen our leadership tracks, whether venturing into the mountains for the Alpine Leadership Program or exploring innovation and entrepreneurship through the lens of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals in our Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship track. Still others are leaning into creative enrichment, discovering joyful self-expression through performing arts or diving into 3D design, coding, robotics, and AI in Code and Creativity.

Afternoons bring a rotating mix of clubs and activities, from team sports and visual arts to music and video production, hiking and climbing, cooking and baking, and tennis. No two afternoons look the same, and students keep discovering new interests alongside new friends.

Evenings bring the whole camp together. Sports nights, cozy family nights, dances, and themed events are filling our campus with laughter and connection, breaking down the usual boundaries between dorms and age groups.

Fantastic Fridays are living up to their name this session, with students trying everything from canyoning and paddle boarding to escape rooms, laser tag, and even a VR game center. And our weekend excursions are taking students beyond campus entirely, with trips across Switzerland and into neighboring countries offering the perfect mix of culture and adventure.

At the heart of it all is our Family Program, where small groups of students from different countries, guided by their counselors, share meals, compete in activities, and become one another's home away from home. True to SIS tradition, roommates come from different countries and speak different languages, ensuring every friendship formed is something entirely new.

With session one still underway, there's plenty more adventure ahead, and we can't wait to see what the rest of this session brings. The Swiss Alps are alive with energy, and Summer in Switzerland 2026 is only getting started!
